SAME Cafe | Serving Good Food for the Greater Good

Joseph profile

Joseph is a 24 year old Denver native who wants to go into the Navy. He
recently found out that he cannot join the Navy due to the tatoos on his
neck. Joseph found a great organization that would help him with his goal
of having a Navy career. *GRASP *(Gang Rescue and Support Project) is a
peer-run, intervention program that works with youth who are at-risk of gang
involvement or are presently active in gangs, helps families of gang
victims, and serves as a youth advocate. They have a Tattoo Removal Program
that is a collaborative effort between INK-B-GONE and GRASP. The focus for
this program is to assist youth in an integral part of a positive, lifestyle
change. Joseph was asked to do 15 hours of community service in exchange for
the removal of his tatoos. He chose to do his service at SAME Cafe. We
loved having this hard-working individual here as part of our SAME Cafe
family. Thank you Joesph and thanks GRASP for helping Joesph achieve his
goal.
